Swartzell (1890-1937)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p>J&rsquo;avais toujours pens\u00e9 que le mod\u00e9lisme ferroviaire US \u00e9tait n\u00e9 \u00e0 Monterey, Californie, apr\u00e8s la deuxi\u00e8me guerre mondiale avec John Allen. Avant, me semblait-il, ne r\u00e9gnait que les trains jouets et le \u00ab\u00a0tin plate\u00a0\u00bb, repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par Lionel (1901) en O 1\/48e US et American Flyer (1918) en O US puis S 1\/64e (1950). A sa droite, en visite et tenant un caboose, Herman E. Wills, repr\u00e9sentant national de la Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Swartzell d\u00e9veloppa tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t un grand int\u00e9r\u00eat pour le monde ferroviaire. En 1904, \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de 14 ans, il d\u00e9buta son r\u00e9seau, puis suivit le prestigieux cours de <em>Railroad Engineering<\/em> \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;Illinois, Urbana Champaign.
